Under 15 Girls struggle in County Final

The under 15 girls side played a very strong Hemel side in the County Final on Thursday evening last week. Hemel had already defeated us in the League stages of the competition and we started slowly against a strong full court press defence. With Shriya not feeling well, Holly Seglah took on the responsibility of points scorer and was outstanding both offensively and defensively throughout the game. She was supported by Aisha and Jude who passe the ball well. Aisha was very competitive on defence and had her best game for school. A special mention should go to Bethan Llewellyn and Sioned Armstrong who played their final Under 15 game and move up to the senior squad next season. Although the final score was 116 - 35, the team were mainly made up of year 9 girls, compared to Hemel who had a mainly year 10 team with several County players and one England player. Becoming County Runners Up is real progress on previous seasons and the whole squad should be very proud of their season. Well done to all of you!

Player of the Match: HOLLY SEGLAH
